This morning I go to sit down on the train, and sit directly on what LOOKS like a household portable phone. Once I extract it from my rear end, I look it over and realize its a Motorola portable phone, in some overly large case. I figure its some kind of phone for people who just need a more powerful phone than you or I. Probably a business person of some sort?
Written on the back is an 800 number to “call if found” for a “reward”. I call the number and listen to the recording list a mailing address, pop it in my bag and figure I’ll mail it when I
get to the office. My first thought when I get to the office is, “Hmmm reward or no reward, whoever lost this is going to catch hell….let me look up the company it belongs to first…”
Well….surprise surprise….I look up the company, and wonder of wonders….this isn’t a cell phone at all!
Well..not really…. its the handheld monitor for some criminal’s GPS ankle tracking device. So somewhere in South Jersey, police are freaking out because a con has gone off the grid and they cant find him.
Either that or they think he’s sitting right off Callowhill Street in Philly.
